New videos from YouTube on Boob Rae...

There are some people, maybe even their own, who are trying to discredit the liberal leadership candidates. Boob Rae seems to be taking the brunt of it. Video #2
Whatever, if they want to take shots at their leaders, so be it. Call this the joy of drinking at someone else's expense.

Denial

You may need to forgive me for the title of this post, and I hope you are in a forgiving mood. I've always thought when it comes to addictions ie. drugs, alcohol or gambling, you have to be able to acknowledge your problem or addiction, or you will never recover. I once heard someone say "I may have a small drinking problem." That while he we sat at the nearest watering hole. Either there is a problem or there isn't--Period. In the Editorial Section of the Toronto Star, it said that people are using "twice as much paper as they did 20 years." Maybe we are, maybe not. It's no consolation to the Star or any Newspaper because the fact of the matter is that, people are getting their information from other sources, including the Internet. And it is affecting the media overall but among the one's being hurt the most is Newspapers. The National Post reported that the Star just a few weeks ago had fired two of it's key staff and most recently, the Sun did the same. It's because of overall readership is down dramatically and because they are selling less, it will force some Companies to re-think publishing in a newspaper. These days you can go to your PC to look for a job, the employment office for the same thing, or Internet cafe place or even the Library to do your job searching. You can find your up to date news like what you would see on the Six O Clock news or read in the Paper the next day. So when the Star says we're using twice as much paper today, I think it's small consolation. And they don't say it directly, but they are struggling, there are fewer people buying their Paper today, and to deny it, is like fooling yourself. The National wrote about both the Star and it's struggles as well as the Sun. But they're all struggling. And they shouldn't deny it either. Here's what they had to say.

Don Cherry, Order of Canada

If there's one bright spot on CBC, it's Rex Murphy. His commentary's are just great. He just seems to hit it right on the nose, and this week is no exception. I only wish there was podcast for this. Here is his Commentary on Don Cherry and the Order of Canada.

Rememberance Day Video

My sister in-law sent me this video. It's by Terry Kelly and is for Rememberance Day. Enjoy.
Video #2.

All Star Pitcher

Thanks to my boss, I was able to come across this. Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Roy Halladay was interviewed by Profit Magazine on his pitching, and what he does to prepare for each start. In fact, several people were asked including Leonard Asper (CEO, Canwest Global Communications Inc.), about peak performance. Here's what was said: Top of my game. He truly is remarkable.

Ignoring Canada's Conservatives leaders

Yesterday in the National Post, Barbara Kay wrote about the Academia's ignorance of some the finest Conservative Authors. Mark Stein and his book "America Alone" being the latest example. So, I'll offer my apologies since I'm guessing there were at least a few BT'ers who have already posted on this. It certainly got the attention of NP readers as seen in the letters to the Editor. I couldn't post yesterday 'cause my PC wouldn't connect to the Net. Just quickly, I'll tell you about a book I picked up at recently. Canada Strong and Free by Preston Manning and Mike Harris could not be found at any bookstore in Toronto. Including 'World''s biggest Bookstore" (WBB) I tried Chapters, and the local Library. No dice. I put an order in for the book. The political section at the WBB is down stairs and in the back. A look at the front of the Chapters/Indigo store, does not reveal any books from Conservative Authors. pt. 1
pt. 2 I think these bookstores could pay a price just like the Newspapers. People could start buying their books and Movies on EBay and other Internet places. Again, sorry for the late posting of this.

stephen colbert on mid terms

I wish I had more time to watch this guy. Listen to Stephen Colbert on the mid term election. He's got a cake for terrorists, a gay president or worse yet Hillary Clinton, how about Scott Brison for PM. The D's didn't win, the Republicans lost. They teach illegal immigrants on evolution, they like gay scientists, who sterilize their surgical instruments with burnt American flags. And everybody's high. This is eerrily simular to Jean Chretien and previous liberal Governments. No wonder we needed change.

Laced with sarcasm.

Well the Metro News has been ranked by the Guinness Book of World Records as being the largest newspaper in the World. It's owned by the Star. What you have to remember is that Metro, along with all the other magazines (24 Hours, Sun, Dose, the National Post), are published with the idea that readers will buy their regular publication. So it seems to me that people are reading their Metro News and that's it. And when you consider the price, why buy it? The only thing the Red Star should be considering is the disappearance of their readers to the Internet, and not boast about their free paper.

liberal media.

Well I for one am so tired of the liberal media, and I know I'm not alone too because indeed there are some of us bloggers who have posted on liberal media bias (lmb) and have links to such stories. In Adam Daifallah's book Rescuing Canada's Right, it suggests an organization, or something to that effect (Sorry Adam), that track the media and it's bias, and then have it exploited so everyone can see everything that the MSM reports. And there is lots of it. There's at least one person on the "Left" who would like to make things worse. It's called "Gerard
Kennedy and the Government's roll on Media" Hit the link, It's all bad but one thing he says is the need to change the rules of the CRTC. Adam in his book suggests the same thing, though I think Kennedy's idea is quite a bit different. But Kennedy recognizes the fact that there needs to be control of the Internet (and thus us Blogging Tories), and that the Interactive Media is getting larger. I think that's smart. At least he knows where the trend is going and what the future is in media. Average Canadians ARE getting their Info from other sources other then TV, radio, Newspaper, Magazine. But I think, and I've suspicious of this for a while, that the Newspapers (Sun, Star, G&M, National Post) are the ones being hardest hit. One things for sure. If you thought liberal media was bad now, wait 'til you hear what Kennedy has to say on the matter. And he even got applause for it.
