Turmoil at Star.

Wouldn't this be great. Get rid of the RedStar here in Toronto and you could see some major ramafications in the way the media is portrayed here in Toronto. So
maybe they won't go be bought out or go under 'cause they're so huge. You worry that they could buy out on of the others, Sun, Post, but just the thought of a Canada without Torstar is nice. Read what the Post has to say.

Toronto would be better off without the Star, that's a given. The Star is always race-baiting because it sells papers, in Fantino's last year as Chief the Star created a Cops vs. Black men story by recycling old stories - nothing newsworthy took place, they simply wanted to pontificate and sell, sell, sell. Blatant hypocrites.

Besides that, they've been on the wrong side of just about every social issue there is - they always advocate perpetuating whatever social problem they pontificate about - and criticize anyone who comes up with a solution. Hypocrites.

Here is their Mission statement.

Read it and weep.

The new editor may have a positive influence though. He did well at the Record.

Once conservatives begin actually discussing equality, rolling back to the role and size of the state they will be taken seriously. As it stands now, they are the polar twins if the New Democrats when it comes to 'family values'. Perhaps this is why the Star is the way it is in the first place? Only a few of us who can be counted on one hand are looking for an alternative...
